President Nominates VA Deputy Secretary

If confirmed, she will become VA’s highest-ranked woman in department history.

Veteran Affairs Chief of Staff, Tanya Bradsher, has been nominated by President Biden to serve as Veteran Affairs Deputy Secretary, replacing Deputy Secretary Donald Remy who recently resigned. Bradsher is a former Army lieutenant colonel with 20 years of military service. She has served in Iraq, and in the Pentagon’s office of public affairs, and was on the White House’s National Security Council under former President Obama.

Representative Don Beyer of Virginia stated, “My former Chief of Staff, a tireless advocate for America’s veterans and a wonderful person! A great choice.”

Bradsher has served in her current position as VA Chief of Staff since 2021, acting as senior advisor to Secretary Denis McDonough and former Deputy Secretary Remy.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek God’s guidance as he selects people to fill vacancies in his administration and in the federal courts.
  • For Tanya Bradsher as she prepares for confirmation hearings in the Senate.
  • For members of the Senate to have discernment as they question this nominee and vote.
